[ More ] | | Well, poking fun at our name is certainly the easy shot to take (No need to slam the nation as a whole though) but it needs to be pointed out, that we don't charge a single penny to anyone until they are set up with a transporter, so we never intentionally make anyone wait, it's just not in either of our best interests, nor are our customers ever held hostage and unable to make other arrangements and we certainly don't leave children stranded. (but Kudos to his child for using public transit, being 'green' is always good and equally safe) Jennifer is indeed very nice, compassionate and helpful, not a cunning bone in her body, and tried to offer advice on how to get set up with a carrier more quickly than the AVERAGE 1 to 3 day window that we like to get our cars picked up within, but Vinnie didn't want to hear anything she had to say. He is also way off on his wait time, his car was not available for pickup until 8/25 and this review was written on 8/31. Our mistake, we tried to get the lowest possible price for him and it really should have been 25 or 50 higher. [ More ] | | It is always good that our unhappy customers take the time to post their frustrations here too, so that you can see that these reviews are legitimate and that we also have a small percentage of people that are unhappy with us. Shawn has reason to be angry but he is not giving the whole story here, which contains some good points for you to learn from. In terms of the quality of the carrier, the phrase 'you get what you pay for' was never more true than in this industry, but Shawn is not being honest about where his price issue began, nor how much choice he had in avoiding it. He requested and was given a price quote from Aliso Viejo, CA to San Antonio, TX of 575, however, when he placed his order online, he switched his delivery city to Hondo, TX which is 50+ miles west of San Antonio down a highway that carriers do not frequent. Not impossible, but would definitely need to be priced higher to get a carriers interest. We informed him that his price of 575 would not get a carrier contracted to Hondo but he would not adjust it to a proper amount, nor would he meet a carrier in San Antonio. Our biggest mistake was that we should have walked away at that point and canceled his order, but his salesperson, David, has a soft spot for helping people out so he promised to try. We then received calls from excellent carriers, each asking for more money to deliver it to Hondo, but on each occasion Shawn passed. We finally did get a great carrier to move his car, but unfortunately it sustained some minor damage while being unloaded, a rare occurrence but certainly a slim reality. In Shawn's case, it really may have been just bad Kharma. But then the real problems began. The carrier admitted to the damage right there on the spot and assured Shawn they would take care of it, but Shawn refused to sign the final Bill of Lading, not smart, especially if he does end up in court. If your vehicle is ever one of the slight few that sustain damage, you must always note it on the final BOL. The carrier still agreed to move forward with a damage claim and have Shawn get estimates, however those estimates contain repairs that were not part of the damage that occurred so now Shawn and the carrier are in a dispute over what was and wasn't done by the carrier. The carrier will absolutely pay for the damage they did, but not the extras that Shawn is trying to get rolled in, obviously. We have been holding, and continue to hold, Shawn's hand and walk him through the process, but they are at a stalemate that is primarily of Shawn's doing. We hope it gets resolved soon and hope this review of his experience helps you with your car move. [ view ] |

[ More ] | | Permafrost certainly has reason to be upset, but he is a bit TOO frosty in his review and demeanor. It was written at 1 am, so we will forgive him for his state of mind. Truck breakdowns happen and they are frustrating for all involved, and while 5-7 days is certainly the average transit time for that move, things like breakdowns are the number 1 reason that every company's Terms state that dates are not guaranteed. Personally, we think that Exit 15 did a great job by getting another carrier to deliver it for them, most companies would not do that. Keep in mind that they had to pay the second company out of the fee that they receive, therefore this breakdown cost them even more money. The customers comment about our phones is bizarre, but yes, we are in LA will VOIP phones that route through a server in Atlanta. That's a first for a negative review, but oh well. Apparently David was unsuccessful in his attempt to help Permafrost keep his cool, pardon the pun. As far as how his order with us played out, he requested a quote on 6/22 around noon, received it 10 minutes later, placed his order around 2pm that same day and by 3pm was set up with his carrier. They picked up as scheduled and were it not for the breakdown, we believe this would have been a much warmer review. Hope it helps you in your decision. [ view ] |
